Which Is Better For A Short Real Estate Youtube Vide Sony A6000 Or A Iphone 7plus
Help: Better sound on a6000 for real manor intros
Hi all,
I've recently gotten into real estate videography, and will soon be needing to record curt 30 seconds clips of the realtor introducing the holding at the start of the video. These clips will mainly be outdoors in front of the house/holding. I utilize the Sony A6000, and I am looking for communication on which audio setup to get for.
And so far, I take found the following options:
- SONY ECMGZ1M GUN ZOOM MICROPHONE
- ZOOM H1 Handy Recorder
My uncertainties lies within what blazon of microphone to become. I am very unfamiliar with audio. From what I gather, the shotgun mic isolates more than the audio in the management it is facing, while the Zoom H1 captures more the whole scene?
Does the Sony mic provide decent audio quality? If I use the Zoom H1 while filming the real estate amanuensis talking outside, would it be best to mountain it on the A6000, or accept it in his pocket connected to a lav mic?
I would appreciate advice and opinions, or any other suggestions, as I don't know much about the subject.
Thanks!

No to both. Maybe a Tascam DR-10L (I similar the tascam more) or Zoom F1. Yous want the microphone as close every bit possible. A nail with microphone and deadcat would be best, simply that is complicated.

I've recently gotten into existent manor videography, and will before long exist needing to record curt xxx seconds clips of the realtor introducing the holding at the first of the video. These clips will mainly be outdoors in forepart of the house/property. I use the Sony A6000, and I am looking for communication on which sound setup to go for.
So far, I have found the following options:
- SONY ECMGZ1M GUN ZOOM MICROPHONE

Some thoughts:
(i) You will get more and meliorate answers in the Digital Video Talk.
(2) AFAIK, the A6000 does not have the ability to take a microphone, and so you will take to use an external recorder and sync the sound subsequently.
(3) DJohnny is probably right that a nail microphone is probably best, but that would require an assistant (or some unwieldy rig).
(4) Possibly you should ask an agent* or two whether it would it be okay to be wearing a small but visible lavalier microphone. Maybe continued to a small recorder in a pocket or a small transmitter? I can't really see attaching ane to an A6000; one of you probably has to wear it.
(5) Do you e'er actually want the amanuensis in the video, or might it be better to have the agent basically direct the video and so do a voice-over?
*AFAIK, "Realtor" is a stupid made-up term that organizations of existent estate agents confected to take something they could phone call themselves to the exclusion of non-members. Do I use "agent" as curt for "real-estate agent". Purchase hey, if these people are your customers, I get yous probably ought to phone call them whatever they want to exist called.

There are YouTube video reviews of the mics yous mentioned. Why not watch (and mind to) those to assist you decide?
If you want an opinion, I call back a lav mic would work best. Maybe bank check out the Sony ECM-W1M wireless mic. It's designed to be used with the Multi-Interface (flash) shoe on the A6000.

I second this recco. The recorder just needs to exist good plenty to take the lav. Based on your use case...a discreet lav with the recorder on the presenter'southward person is the all-time way to go. Ideally you lot want a wireless setup. Unfortunately, they're not only expensive merely generally in sunset mode because of spectrum issues.

In that location'south no "expert" solution for A6000, other than a separate recorder similar the H1.
The problem is that a split recorder needs to exist synced in postprocessing, which is a PITA.
MIS microphones are severely deficient because, even on newer bodies, you have forced AGC. If y'all want good audio without AGC from the ECM-XYST1M for example, you demand a 3.5mm patch cable from the mic to the body's 3.5mm mic input (only applicable to bodies with such inputs - for APS-C this ways A6300 and A6500).
The A6300 is a major sound upgrade compared to the A6000 due to the fact that you motility from forced AGC to fixed gain with a limiter (the A6300/A6500 volition subtract gain if clipping is detected and an external 3.5mm mic is used, only volition non increase gain if information technology's tranquility like the A6000).
I have been very happy with an Sound-Technica Pro-24CM on newer bodies, simply information technology cannot be used with the A6000.

I understand the limitations of AGC, merely the OP's needs sound pretty uncomplicated to me. I've done plenty of recordings with AGC and they're 'okay for government work'. Most likely 'okay for real estate piece of work' too, but that'south for the OP to determine.

Definitely the H! with a lavalier mic.
The H1 is small plenty just to drop into the presenter'due south pocket, so that makes information technology easy.
A gun mic will selection up too much of the acoustics of the room for clear speech (Specially bad in the bathroom).
Resyncing the sound volition easy if you use Cyberlink Power Managing director as information technology volition do it automatically, matching the sound from the H1 to the sound recorded on the camera.
Other video editors may do the same.
